Things To Do In Brittany

The North coast of Brittany is rugged with the famous pink granite coast around Perros Guirec and pretty little harbours like Binic just above St Brieuc - it is much like the coast of Cornwall.

The South coast is less harsh and more rolling like Devon

As you can see from the graphic the main mid spring to late summer months are usually dry and hot, with the last few years in particular being exceptionally hot. As such we have now added a portable air conditioner in the upstairs of the main house so that a comfortable nights sleep may be had.

Local Specialities include seafood, crepes, galettes and locally brewed cider. The Hotel Martin often has a good selection of fresh seafood.

Guern - 3 miles away - Contains the local bakery and a few bars. There is also a payphone here should you need it. Mobile phone signal can be received at the cottage, often upstairs in the cottage or on the patio gets best reception!

Guemene-sur-Scorff - about 6 miles away - nearest small town with supermarket, home of the Andouille sausage.

Pontivy - Nearest large town, containing shops, markets, restaurants and the local Supermarkets. For more information on Pontivy please click here...
